Single screens are real places to enjoy movies. Especially, the youth in the Telugu states prefer to watch the biggies and commercial potboilers to have the best viewing experience. However, with growing development, the multiplexes have become a big threat to single screens. Despite competition from multiplexes, the owners of single screens managed to survive with some big releases. However, the lockdown left a huge impact on single screens. The famous Shanti theatre in Narayanaguda and Galaxy cinema hall in Tolichowki of Hyderabad are permanently closed.

Shanti theatre and Galaxy cinema hall were in operations for decades. Many super hit movies released in Shanti and Galaxy cinema halls. But, unfortunately, the lockdown stopped the operations of cinema halls. On top of that, there is no proper revenue for these single screens in the recent past. The management in most of the cinema halls run the theatres in losses as they do not want to convert the place into a function hall or any other commercial complex. But, post-lockdown, the situation is not going to be the same.

Shanti theatre is closed permanently now and the management converted the place into a godown. In the coming days, we may have to witness the shutting down of all our favorite theatres.

Oh no.. maa room deniki daggarlo vundedi watched ton of movies... 😭😭
