Agriculture needs to transform to agri based business. Inter dependent supply chain where farmers grow grains that have a buyer and buyer provides input for the farmer.

You can’t just grow any thing you want and then wait for the government to buy at premium prices.

Daniki private participation kavali, inter dependency kavali...you need to have a data as to what can be sown where ? Unfortunately, all these years we only concentrated on MSP’s which has eventually killed the market.

Expecting Government to do soil testing or provide insights is as good as useless.

My guess, It will be co-operative farming. One group will be having machinery, another group takes care of soil testing, another group for procurement etc. I see co-operative farming as the future of organized farming.

Govt is too huge to come up with a uniform policy. Agriculture ki oka policy anedi ledu, vundadu kuda..A policy cannot be the same for Punjab and Vidharba. It’s complicated. Even state wide oka uniform policy implement cheyadam kuda kastam.

Its better to provide minimum assurance and leave it to the local markets. Like Rythu Bandhu, that provides incentive to the farmer and let government involvement stop then and there itself..

Small farmer of last decade is now smallest farmer. Land division avutundi and as it gets passed on to next generation, land ownership in acreage reduces.

Inout costs for 5 acres and return from it is not same as inout costs for 1 acre and returns on it.

Time for the farming community to do smart farming or else, collapse is only few seasons away.

Anduke na 100 acres bits chustunav ani @NiranjanGaaru adugutunadu

Currently no body is stopping the private sector from entering even without any laws. The issue is farmer protection provisions are lacking and law appear as if Adani made it and handed over to Modi.

what is the provision if private player rejects the produce based on the quality? What alternative does the farmer have since the government intends to kill APMC in the long run.

what will happen if the private doesn’t credit the funds after buying the produce. Currently the APMC system takes 2-4 weeks and they consider safe because it is regulated by local governments. private player IP pedite it is next to impossible to chase him for a small farmer

If Govt keeps on buying substandard produce, there is always someone producing such stuff. If no one buys sub standard produce, then automatically in few cycles, crop quality output will also increase. In such scenarios, demand supply perfectly applies.

The end goal of this law is to make farmers a bonded laborer on their own land. How? because they will eventually make it difficult for a farmer to sell their produce and eventually will be entices  to an lease agreement with a corporate for regulated farming and then we will start seeing different kind of issues

What they are saying is that they don’t have a problem with private markets/players but also continue the current status quo of APMC model.

Instead FCI can deal with corporates, FCI buys the produce from farmers, corporates buy from FCI
