I was on EAD and used AP bro...before getting gc. No issues. H1 is safety net anedi anavasaramaina apoha. I know a friend whose 485 was inadvertantly denied and given 18 days for EAD/AP validity. He was able to successful reopen 485 by filing MTO (motion to reopen) and obtain new EAD/AP without leaving the country. Its a 1 in 1M type situation.

If its a good opportunity, dont let H1 hinder ur career progression. Think long term.

Just let them know you have EAD and do not require sponsorship. Ask them if they can sign I-485j which does not require any filing fee.. For renewal, all you need is proof of pending status i.e. 485 receipt along with 1 santhakam, 2 photos.
