money kooda long term lo chooskunte ekkuva ravu dude consulting lo. FTEs ki stock options, espp, 401k match, insurance, sick leaves, other perks  anni add chesthe long term lo FTs are winners even financially. I learned this lesson too late. I did quit my 12 yrs consulting career recently and joined FTE but unfortunately i missed the opportunity to file EOS due to this. It could have been better if i joined FTE long back.

more or less same boat bro.. each one has pro's and con's. real product based companies lo FTE is better. politics every where. People with good skills will have freedom in either positions.. Idi never ending debate.. truth is all management positions never come from contractor background, they will have good progressive fte background..

FT tesukunte kani teledu Contracting life enta bindas ooh. Nachakapote project inkoti vetukoni dobbeyachu. FT lo nachina nachakunna easy kadu compromise avvali so much.

It depends on attitude of individual too.  If you are a type who dont give a damn to anyone contracting is best.

I like Contracting. Manaku talent unte job security isnt a big thing.  Low salary and compromise avvadam kante high salary and work in your terms is best no? ALso , vadu iche 13 leaves not worth it. Consulting lo unte 2 months off petti vacation ki povaachu or can go in between projects. I saw 0 benefit in FT. Idi experience ayyake telisindi.

That's why contract 2 hire positions bindaas

This is one thing I observed between contracting n fte . Fte think in terms of solving problems first n what technology to use comes after understanding and designing the solution. Contracting ppl I have met are only concerned about a particular technology or language. This is just my observation. Not demeaning anyone. I'm a hardware engineer so my observation might not hold true. Other thing I observed atleast when attending conferences is fte are always on top of latest technologies n they are the ones who contribute more to open source atleast in the best companies .

Engineering lo PhD chesina vallaki science lo PhD chesinavallaki ide teda
