While I know there is no malice in his approach, there have been times where he can sound accusatory or sound like he’s blaming people for mistakes or oversights. When things break down, you have a tendency to phrase things in a very accusatory way. That is "developers messed up", "looks like team ________ pushed a bug". You're technically right, but if I had to guess I'd say it has a demoralizing effect on people. maree ulfa gallu tayaravutunnaru nibba employees...tappu chesar ra...nerchukondi ani cheppadam kuda badhakaram ga undanta.... ilanti vallaki desi manager le correct bend tiyanike.... Constructive criticism is an art. We all have to learn it. Give kudos to people where they deserve (focus more on that) and also let them know the mistakes they did. But in reality I have seen that when you appreciate 9/10 times ppl feel happy. That 1 time its messed up, even if you ask for details, ppl start crying or feel bad. Right way to handle these is discuss in 1-1's when both parties are calm and not when the incident happened when emotions are high.
