actors are liked because the roles they play resonate with those that watch. anthe. dhanush, vijay sethupathi etc.

Vijay is liked because of PR. not because of any of his roles.

it may be true that amy jackson falling for dhanush feeds the imagination of regular joes in TN, but that is not why dhanush is popular. I don't think that particular movie even performed well.

I agree, overall in Tamil movies, there's more stalking of heroines by less than avg heroes than telugu. chaala discussion jarigindhi daanni cut cheyyali movies lo ani. I hope actors like dhanush don't do it henceforth.

Hey did u watch this interview of vijay sethupathi..peru gurtuledu but greatest 100 movies ani screen patti lo ankunta. He said the same thing... Why he doesn't act in hindi movies ante ..he can't adopt that native mannerism so people can connect. Tamil or even Telugu lo people connect because he tries to appear like the guy next door. He in fact does a lot of homework for that

no but I like his movies and he is right.
