Because Gujaratis and Punjabis came much earlier than us . 

Many Gujaratis are migrants from Africa without much studies , they found niche in those areas and helped others setup similar business in different areas . 

Telugu vallu kooda gas stations run chestunaru but not so widespread .

They have no other choice , they don't have the skills to get a H1B job . 

I see many Punjabis going to Canada and driving trucks , easy ga 150 k  vasthadhi for American market

Gujju’s and Punjabi’s came here in the 70’s and their second generation is already assimilated with the Americans here... they brought lot of their family members here on family quotas .. and they are always willing to do the hard work... we on the other side, work only in professional roles..

Gas station and Liquor stores I have seen, one of my relative owns a liquor store.

Gas stations ki osthe adhoka pedda dhandha and you need contacts.

Already majority of gas stations are occupied by punjabis, and already busy areas lo new permissions undav so existing transfer or old dhi nuv converting or new licenses ki existing vaalla ki preference untadhi. So ee ye case lo aina existing Punjabi valla reference or help avasaram padudhhi vaallatho manaki antha contacts unte you can get it.
