Rahul needs to take up an issue and fight hard on it..can be farmers issue  but he should fight hard. Initially public might make fun of him  because of all the propaganda but eventually they will start to like him. I think thats what is missing for Rahul so far. He didnt have that big moment yet

What issue did Modi fight for, before he became PM?

He gave a series of bs lectures about federalism, and lied about Guj model. What issue did he exactly take up and fight?

He grew on the back of enabling a genocide. His entire popularity is based on his ability to command cruelty at will.

To counter this, Rahul can only take the side of the poor, and he has come up with schemes like UBI NYAY.

I don't think politicians win by 'fighting' at the national level. It may be true at the state level. National politicians mostly put forth an idea, and build a structure to carry that message. If the current trend is 'enthusiasm to Hindutva', there's nothing Rahul can do. Its not just Rahul Gandhi.. Even Mamata Banerjee is gonna lose Bengal.. Just see.

I'm saying that if people are against economic populism, then it is like nudging others to vote for BJP becase TINA.

India's exports (manufactured) shot up from 2004 t0 2012, and have more or less stalled since then.

It will shoot up again..

That's how it works.

But Modi has the national spotlight by the time he came to be PM candidate. Do u think that just happened without any coordinated social media pr campaign? He was able to project himself thru effective pr campaign thru social media.

only in fantasy land. India numbers look somewhat okay because Pharma (mostly Hyd) and s/w (mostly bangalore), all other export areas are in decline.

The conditions that caused this decline from 2012, have not changed. in fact, they have aggravated because of a global pandemic and fall in demand in general across the world.

secularism and all is fine. Rahul comes up with an UBI scheme, and all those anti-Modi capitalist loving fellows cry about 'freebies'.

secularism is just icing on the cake, its not gonna win anyone an election. schemes like NYAY will.
