To understand why Erdogan keeps getting elected despite the disastrous situation the country is heading into

Erdogan had 21.335.581 votes in the previous election, but 1.3 million of them came from the voters outside of Turkey. The abroaders vote for him because they know he will screw the country and make them look like a rich person when they come to the country again.

The 15m votes are mostly far right Ottoman fans who vote for Erdogan to "Prevent Chp (The main opposition and also founded by Ataturk) erase islam and poison our family structure!" and they are mostly poor families who only has a chance to eat plain bread and tea for breakfast

5m votes come from various cults fueled by the hate of republic.

He also has 5.564.514 votes that come from their "fellow friend" far rightist Mhp you may know as Grey wolves. The leader of Mhp Bahceli was literally swearing at Erdogan by calling him a terrorist and a traitor. But Erdogan probably has a tape of Bahceli so he sided with him to prevent the release of his tape.

No one is happy. But no matter what happens, the voters of Erdogan will continue to vote for him because he is actively using religion and police forces to punish people.

Erd  will screw turkey like how bashar of Syria did .. he already did most of it.. but more is coming

Syria is complicated matter , turkey is a modern republic that used to have strong governance structures and a decent economy

Even to this day turkey has better governance structures than india , like for example cities get a share of taxes on their own without depending on state or central govt but Erdogan is actively trying to tear them down

Turks are not really that religious , more of a ottaman supremists who want to relive their glory days when turkey was a world power

I am not saying they don't exist but they are not overtly religiious due to attaruk rule
