the guns of navarone(1961)

2000 soldiers of the allied forces are struck in an island named kheros and cannot be transported back home because the Germans have two huge water facing - artillary guns  and a big army placed in Navarone which is another island, very much adjacent to the island kheros. those huge artillary guns of Germans destroy the ships of allied forces that does any attempt to bring back their soldier from kheros

To counter this, allied forces send a team of 5 people to the Navarone island to take down the island and destroy those big artillary guns upon which the allies can transport their soldiers back home.
