Exactly after four years, there is a minor progress in the sensational drugs case that is linked to Tollywood industry. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Excise Department filed a charge-sheet in this case and the concerned documents were submitted before the Nampally Court.

However, out of the 12 cases filed, the SIT has placed documents related to 8 cases before the court. On July 2nd 2017, the SIT has filed the first case. Later 30 people were arrested, 27 people were questioned in connection with the case. This includes the 11 Tollywood celebrities who were probed and given clean-sheet later.

The Nampally Court scrutinized the charge-sheet submitted by the SIT and has approved to take up the hearing. So finally the drugs case will witness some progress.

But the big question is why the SIT took four years to submit the charge-sheet. In this gap, there was a huge criticism on the TRS government that this case was brought to the limelight to divert the attention of people and also to threaten the Tollywood industry.
