80% people trying for govt jobs finally end up in a low paying job as they waste their prime time only preparing for govt jobs... second thought pettukoru... I have seen my frnds repenting for wasting their prime time....

Most don’t have any concrete backup plans. Ila entrance exams lo fail Ayina vallu go back to academia(masters/mba/whatever). 4-5 years gap unte jobs kooda kastam. They can’t really socialize with their college friends as most have some decent IT jobs. Health kooda messed up and they become depressed/gain weight/insecure. Best to try for these exams when you are already working. It took me two years to land mine. Left my job at an investment bank to take this up.

I honestly can't fathom that a young man working at a bank willingly chooses to leave it for a government job .

Shows how corrupt/inefficient Indian government  is.

Mine is a different kinda govt job le. Well worth working in our org. Some of the world’s best/famous work in our offices.
