Why the fck you care he is womanizer or drunkard - unless he raped or exploited somebody it should be none of our business

This is exactly how Raavan becomes a hero.

This is exactly how a Godse becomes a role model.

This is exactly how a murderer becomes a social reformer.

This exactly how history is rewritten to make heroes out of rapists and killers and war mongers.

And it is called democratic compulsion of the gajji malokams.

Some huge blunders of Nehru include:

  1. Partition - Maulana Azad had succeeded in winning the support of all parties by leading the Cabinet Mission to come up with a acceptable solution to prevent partition. Gandhi had supported Azad’s solution of creating a federal system where the central government controlled only three subjects and delegated the rest to provinces. Jinnah and Muslim League also accepted this as a viable solution after protracted negotiations putting the need for partition to rest. Unfortunately Azad stepped aside at the end of his term as Congress President and nominated Nehru. Nehru upon becoming president, created confusion by declaring at a press conference on June 1o 1946 that the Congress was “completely unfettered by agreements and free to meet all situations as they arise” kindling suspicions and fears among the Muslim League, leading Jinnah to reject the Cabinet Mission Plan for a united federal India, re-ignting the demand for partition by calling for Direct Action Day. Had Maulana continued as party President or Nehru shown prudence and self-control at that critical juncture in the nation’s history India would have remained undivided. Maulana laments these tragic circumstances in detail in his book ‘India Wins Freedom’.
  2. Kashmir Problem - By going to the UN at a time when the Indian Army was winning against Pakistan’s aggression, Nehru jeopardized India’s ability to permanently integrate Kashmir with India. He was never able to recover PoK and Gilgit Baltistan. By allowing Kashmir to have it’s autonomy and separate constitution Nehru created long standing problems. As a Kashmiri Pandit, he should have known Kashmir’s history and the genocides that had taken place during the rule of Sikandar and subsequent tyrants. Yet, he chose to prevent an unapologetic integration of Kashmir with India.
  3. Sino-Indian war - Grossly underestimating the Chinese and miscalculating American support, Nehru indulged in the opportunistic Forward policy triggering Chinese suspicion destroying trust after the Panchsheel agreement. India suffered the consequences of bad Indo-Chinese relationship for decades as a result of this humiliating war and ensuing hostility. Indians are taught about the Chinese Aggression even today, a result of Nehru's complete control over school history and media. If Chinese were so aggressive why didn't India lose huge territories after losing the war. The west couldn't stop China from taking Tibet, nobody could have stopped Chinese from taking Tawang if they wanted to? The Indian army was gutted, we were non-aligned with no powerful friends. We have Arunachal Pradesh thanks to Chinese desire for peace in 1962. Yet, Indians hate the Chinese for the 'aggression' because they don't know factual history!
  4. Socialist Policies - Nehru adopted socialist policies that are designed to divide the pie not grow it. He did not heed the warnings of Rajaji and others who opposed the idea of creating a bureaucratic license Raj. You need a balance of capitalist policies to grow the economic pie and socialist policies to divide it so everyone can share the bounty of economic prosperity. Nehru's unbalanced socialist policy sought to divide the tiny destroyed economic pie(GDP) left behind by the British instead of growing it first. Worse, he encouraged Indians to grow the population causing the economic pie to be divided into ever smaller pieces to nothingness for majority of Indians. Sure, during his 17 years some infrastructure projects and institutions were developed. But in comparison to other countries with similar human potential, the socialist model with 5 year plans stymied growth in terms of both scale and speed in development of major projects like highway systems. Nehru considered TV and phone services a luxury, not necessity. He did not industrialize India at the rate it could have been given its resources and potential. His trade policy was practically non-existent.
  5. Nehru monopolized Congress and made it his family party laying the foundation for dynastic politics.
  6. Nehru became Non-aligned(creating and joining a club of losers) which lost India the opportunity to benefit from closer ties with United States. Countries like Japan, Germany, South Korea are advanced today because they were close allies of the US economically and politically.
  7. Nehru instead of creating a meritocracy favored sycophants and close friends like V. K. Krishna Menon instead of utilizing stalwarts like Rajaji and Patel for nation building. He created an atmosphere for nepotism that evolved into the systemic corrupt society that India is today.
  8. He hid details of Netaji's whereabouts and spied on his family. He was a two faced liar who acted the role of a caring uncle to Netaji's relatives while spying on them at the same time. Shockingly, the intelligence of this surveillance was shared with MI6.
  9. He took advantage of his natural charm and sophisticated manner and captivated gullible and trusting Indians who were desperate for a Moralist leader. Out of desperation they projected their hopes and aspirations for a righteous leader on to a opportunist and conniving politician.
  10. The British reduced India from 22% of world GDP to 4%. Nehru put in place a system that reduced it even further to 2% while India's population tripled. Thanks to Nehru, by 1991 Indian trade was 0.2% of global trade.

All of this despite the fact that at a personal level his charm was boundless, he was extremely well read and well spoken. As a person, he was open-minded, progressive, surprisingly self-aware and principled in many ways and not others, not exactly an ideologue, scholarly, thoughtful and well-meaning towards the multitudes in poverty. But at the same time, the paradox lies in his policies and actions which were much less enlightened and effective than the man in his mind. His biggest barrier was perhaps his self-importance and pride, so when he disagreed with people of greater practical intellect such as Netaji, Rajaji, and Patel, he relentlessly held his stubborn and flawed worldview.

Nuvvu cheppina first statement ae wrong , muslim league mata varasaku matrame maulana azad statement ki agree chesindi, maulana azad propose chesina formula lo ne pedda pedda loopholes unnayi

"The basis of Pakistan is the fear and interference of the center in Muslim majority areas as Hindu will be in majority in the center. The congress meets this fear by granting full autonomy to the provincial units and vesting all residuary powers in the provinces. The congress schemes, therefore, ensures that Muslims Majority provinces are internally free to develop as they will, but at the same time can influence the center on all issues which affect India as a whole."

In a way muslim league eppudu ante appudu partition ki ready ga unnadi, Because of Maulana azad who is muslim too , they were agreeing for that solution partially. There is no role of Nehru here. Akkada Nehru unna or Sardar patel unna Muslim league separate pakistan kavali ane propose chesedi

Dont bring your sanghi propaganda's here, I know Sanghi's are hardcore hater's of Nehru, since he killed sanghi idealogy back then. Siggu leda bevede ga words twist chesi cheppadaniki

Just because some of his policies turned upside down should not mean Nehru did not contribute to building India..

He was a commited socialist , patriot , well educated , excellent orator, writer(Discovery of India, glimpses of world history) and man with high ambitions..

Ofcourse no one is denying he is saint so he did commit some mistakes.

Nehru was amazing, got his clothes washed from abroad, stole Gandhi's surname.  He (Nehru) even got cigarette air-lifted in those days. They have looted India like anything.
