True. In TG it is actually getting worse. One of the biggest indicators is the money received by intercaste couples after marriages. The govt actually gives them money if they marry someone from another caste. That number used to be around 1200-1500 in TG when the state was divided, now it is 400 in TG. In Andhra about 8% of the marriages are intercaste whereas in TG it is around 3-4%.

The current TG govt doesn't encourage intercaste marriages anyway- they want people to be in their place.
