Dholera is just a industrial corridor with some planned residential areas . Adhi asalu city kaadhu , it's just like sricity but with govt land. 

Gujarat state govt plans very little expenditure aside from land acquisition.

I believe Andhra Pradesh state spent more money on amaravathi than Gujarat on Dholera until now 

Many plans for Dholera are being scrapped because it's economically unviable. For example they thought of building a Greenfield port in Dholera which was scrapped last year

7000+ crores for amaravathi by AP state

3000 crores for Dholera by Gujarat state  + 2800 crores  planned in next five years 

Land acquisition was also very cheap at 10-20 laks per acre

It's just an Industrial zone with few roads , drainage , water supply , power infra anthey . The budings shown were private office buildings 

State govt ki paisal ekkadi nunchi vastayi to build whole new cities ? Unless they plan to abandon every part of the state for decades and concentrate all resources in one place like amaravathi. 

A funny thing about Dholera is real estate batch in Andhra and bjp IT cell walas  mention it more on social media than actual gujaratis themselves
