Telugu kavi Pothana who is from Telangana btw, translated Bhagavatham in 1500. Dani mundu Nanayya, Tikkana, Yerrapragada all were in 900-1400 AD.

Telugu is derived from Telangana, which is known as the land between the three Shaivakshetrams…kaleshwaram, srilaisalm and draksharamam…much of the Deccan plateau..ikada matlade basha ni Telugu annaru…you see the relevance Telangana-Telugu…much like other languages…Malabar-Malayalam, Kannada-Karnataka…tamilanadu-Tamil..

Odd one out is Andhra, where they speak Telugu..
