Why consistently profit making SBI with 22000 branches, 2.5 lakh employees, and assets worth hundreds of billion dollars had to associate with Adani Capital to give loans to farmers ?

because its risky to offer loans to farmers. the more the players the better risk spread.

It’s more risky to provide loans to other sectors than farmers ani data telling

that's a percentage of total NPAs.

around 30% of agricultural loans are NPAs.

whereas large industries are the safest to lend, with NPAs of less 5%
