Sure. My friend is taking appointment with ENT for second opinion. She is just 1 month old. He was saying he can see that she is opening eyes if he go and call her gently.

Is she a premie or did the delivery happened before 40 weeks. I heard cases kids being too sleepy makes them feel little lazy and act this way/ not respond to sound

again make sure your friend is not neglecting

hearing issue is permanent and seek help in India as well if needed

Nothing to worry man. parents should not make a big deal about minor defects. it is unfortunate but it is not like complete hearing loss leading to speech problems. Take a second opinion and see if it can be fixed if not use a hearing aid. Big deal man everybody now days have spectacles right from childhood no body are really bothered about it anyhow  why make big issue out of minor hearing problem. spects are also visual aid that is okay why not hearing aid.

It’s a full term delivery and they did full ABR analysis with audiologist after 1 month yesterday. That’s how they concluded mild permenant hearing loss. What you mean by seek help in India?

That’s true spectacles are most common but he is worrying a lot to see his kid with hearing aid for lifetime. Sad for him.

Hearing loss will never go away, it might even become worse is what doctor said to us. But mild loss might not effect much on speech development. Our kid has moderate to severe 😢
