Why money not bringing happiness

Edo anukoni us vacham but most of the people whom I know personally despite making million in account they are not happy. Reason its like cat race of making another 10 million compared to others. Ok lets assume 10 million aftet that?

Our parents only taught as how to earn money and save it but never taught us how to spend. Americans far bettet than us in spending they know art of making it and burning it. But we are really not sure if we spend alot will we be happy? Or again that is temp happiness?

Money is meant for spending. Atleast 50 to 60% of your earnings. Another 40% must be used for investments/savings

set financial short term  and long term goals. celebrate after a goal is achieved . In my view money gives us sense of security, comfort , opportunity to secure loved ones future, opportunity to do run behind our passions/hobbies... viagra viagra 

It is too Naive to Assume every IT guy working in INdia is happy or Assume American way of spending is better.

True, many of my friends made and are making a lot of money… but they are not happy and they don’t know what makes them happy anymore…they are lost somewhere and leading a mechanical life with comforts and luxuries

one should earn money to fund the endeavors one wanted to do earlier but couldn't do due to lack of money

any savings one do for unknown future are wasting their life, you just need right enough money to survive 1-2 yrs of lack of job or bad health, even bad health scenario is covered through SS and Long Term disability

start donating to communities you believe in, if one does this they dont need to boast about their riches with fellow desis during get togethers, you dont even feel like talking about money and investments

telugus from both states lost the meaning of "the purpose to earn money", is it just to boast and raise their self esteem tat are ahead of others at least in financial terms, they are agreeing indirectly that they lack in many other areas

Earning for kids future antunaru.

What you expect from this kids from future? Just eat sit relax and spend fathers money 😊. Tarvatha? Money can go anytime after that? Whats their future.

Lets say kid pampered and brought up nicely, later married to wrong girl and she takes half property.

So what we worked hard for years was wasted like tap water.

I also dont know answer just framing myself.  What really makes us satisfied and happy with this cat race life.

you should never let money dominate you..if yes you will loose lot of memories and purpose in life...

I can put 50% down to a 800- 1 M home... but that doesn't excite me. the only thing I strive for is subject matter expertise and knowledge and success...

money is just a medium to keep you going day by day..

we never learnt how to spend - only save... our living style is set and can't be easily changed after you turn 30... 

if you are in USA, unless you are a multi millionaire (which 99% of of indians are not), your life style is more or less same... 

if you make 100k or 300k or 500k - at most what changes is your car and your house. and vacation / gold.... 

your kids go to same school. 

you go to same restaurants. 

you work and live with people who are also same...
