This reservoir is the heart of Kaleshwaram project, with 50 TMC storage capacity and sitting at a height of 600 meters will enable to transfer water to various canals and reservoirs using gravity. In perspective, Hussain Sagar capacity is 1 TMC and hence Mallanna Sagar is 50 times larger as it’s capacity is 50 TMC.

Bro, as per skymet this year rains minimal anta so we may see the real benefit of kaleshwaram project. This is called perfect timing before elections hope people will reap the benefits and realize Dora’s capability.

Karavu radu anukuntunna, endukante vellu summer lo ne cheruvulu anni nimptunnaru last 2 years nundi, first vanake vagu potunnadi, vagula pani 100s of check dams kattindru, ground perganiki main reason, acquafiers recharge ayitunnayi because of water is contained and hence water table increase ayinayi, raina also contributed but not the main reason - if only for rains we wouldn’t be seeing degradation over last 40 years - 900 ft - 1400 ft ki poyina water undedi kadu, ippudu 100ft mastu ga unnadi water.

so what I am saying it is a collection of events from water retention through mission kakatiya, to filling those village tanks via major irrigation and check dams to retain water.

They are filling lakes through devadula, or SRSP + good and timely rainfall … ae area lo mission kakatiya lo chervulu nimparu and enni nimparu… mission kakatiya and mission Bhagiratha are big scams

Kaleshwaram project optimal ga run cheyali ante accurate prediction of monsoon is needed due to its design … last two years reverse pumping chesaru and due to heavy rains they released water … wastage of hundreds of crores on power bills for nothing … 

kaleshwaram is not like other lifts where you lift and send water to distribution canals … you need to lift three times and can only life if the dam is full
