Consider this situation..

India-USA: direct non stop: $1500

Indi-USA: Stop overs : $1300

Consider you are travelling with a family of two adults and two kids, which one you will prefer ?

Transit lo airport lo family shopping ki ayye karchu marchi pokandi.. ee tokkalo gulf airlines anni gold shops petti rod vestunnai.

That’s partly correct and Air India will never be able to compete with gulf carriers. But there is a sector which Gulf carriers cannot compete with Air India. The rise of non stop services and this is where Air India will play its game.

India-US, LHR, Toronto, Baltics and Europe, India-Australia, India-South East and Far East, Northern Africa sectors la India can do non-stop services. And these sectors have no competition for AI.

Kashtam baa… INDIA lo population ekkuva but international travel is not huge.

INDIA to Northern Africa direct flights nadipithe half capacity toh nadipiyali… which we can’t afford, same case with baltics countries. Max big cities in USA and london capacity veltai, other routes not sustainable.

reaosn why gulf airlines work is also because of their strategic location at the center.

if I am give a option hyd to Delhi to Dallas- 1500 , hyd to Dbx to dallas- 1300 , I will choose later.

That’s the new market. With Russian airspace closed for US airlines, AI will be enjoying almost monopoly in US-India direct sector. With in an year, AI may start flying to as many as 8 destinations in US Non-stop from DEL/BOM. And at the same time, expanding one stop service from other cities. Like Hyd-Del-IAD. even though it’s a one stop flight, there is huge demand for such flights.

Del-Dallas not feasible due to non availability of an aircraft which can cover the distance…so such cities need to have a connection kabatti gulf or European carriers dominate this sector.

take the example of this route. Amritsar-Del-Toronto. Ie route Lo Air India ni compete aye airline ledu…same with Del-Manchester, Del-CDG, Del-NRT. Some routes which are extremely profitable to AI.
