What is a recession?

negative growth rate for 2 or more consecutive quarters is termed as recession.

How cam inflation can be controlled?

negative pressure or recession is required to control inflation like create less demand for goods and services by making less money available in the market like making lending difficult with more interest rates, less money to lend etc.

what fed is doing?

hike interest rates but also taking money out of the market by not buying securities. Every month it plan to wipe $50 billion cash out of the market. That means money will be tough to come by

will there be a recession?

sure why not if you go by the definition but will be mild one as this is artificially created and owing to low unemployment levels

my guess mild recession and/ot stagflation. Inflation is the rate of increase of the overall price level of goods and services in an economy. Stagflation describes a combination of high inflation and economic stagnation

Stock markets will suffer until inflation is tamed, end of Russia ukraine war is very important to come out of energy and fuel crisis

Fed stragetically wants to raise inflation in controlled manner to increase usa gdp

right now debt and gdp are not even 1:1

inflation and raise in prices is one of the ways to increase gdp and reduce the gdp to debt ratio

fed is in full control, I don’t think of any recession

War won't end anytime soon unless next president takes different route
