hmm.. frankly class and caste used to go together in India, though it's changing rapidly now. usually UC vallu prefer UC because they assume there won't be unnecessary headaches.. 

you don't want a drunkard fighting with his wife in your neighborhood, or some chillar panchaitis..  it's not exactly caste but class... and some cases food choices. 

it used to be that way.. in ideal world it's easy to call out, but ikkada unnollu andaru ade pani chestaru when it comes to them..

Personal property aithe nanga thiragara nee house lo.  Piss and poop everywhere on your own house - no one cares. But you want to make money out of the economy by renting then you bloody well dont discriminate.

You rent a house for 50,000 in hi tech city, same house will go for 5,000 in tirputi. means what ? you are benefiting by work of others who increased the value there. it is no longer "personal".

I think Article 15 is for State and Govt purposes..

not Private Entities...like Home Renting.

if not everyone can go and file complaint..

unlike in Govt or PSU job postings

it is different thing that u cannot swear on a person based on religion or caste anywhere,,may it be private or public property..

but job, renting is private...u can provide or deny service to anyone, not only in the name of caste or religion. it can be anything

In India, there is no "equal housing opportunity" equivalent laws afaik. Even if they are , very difficult to enforce. Yes, if you abuse them there are strict laws
