there are 2 different paths. Management & technical.

I personally like architect role better than manager role. Actually in some good companies architects have more scope & $$ compared to mgrs.

resume picha lite. Nee role architect ayin, managing people like okka line add chesukovachu.

if u want to go in mgmt path, become the mgr, gain exp and move to better job

tech path aithey principle architect roles choodu

i prefer technical side but...growth kanipistale unless I move out la undi situation.

@Vaampire anduke exploring leadership roles.

Better to stay on technical side anna as long as possible.

Manager ga growth kuda em fast undadhu , specially for desi's ki ..promotion on leadership side like sr. manager , director antha easy ga ravu desi's ki.. tella vala tho managerial side poti kastam .. ma company lo all desi's stuck at sr. managerial level...

oka sari manager ante malli tech side povadam kastam

I think tech side, less politics , less stress, less responsibility and more job opportunities outside.

Depends on Person , but desis are usually introvert , do not speak more than 3-4 sentences together in office , go in groups with other desis , basically poor people skills and communication skills

but there are always some exceptions , have seen folks who grew into SVP roles and even CIO roles personally so it depends , you need to have the tech aptitude and people skills to succeed at that level , imagine speaking fearlessly and confidently before hundreds or even thousands in those teams or zoom calls , not possible for most desi folks so thats why most folks stay at Sr Engineering manager or Director roles , antha kante vellatam they will find it hard..

PS: not trash talking just because , even I find it extremely nerve wracking to speak in front of hundreds , couple of weeks back had to present something during a team meeting for a few hundred people and I was nervous as hell
