Telangana posts unprecedented 31.44% growth in IT/ITeS exports in 2022-23

To put the growth figures in perspective, Telangana’s IT exports for 2022-23 grew 31.44 per cent while the IT exports in the same period grew 9.36 per cent in the country. Telangana's IT/ITeS exports have reached a staggering Rs. 2,41,275 Crores in FY 2022-23, marking an astounding YoY growth of 31.44%, soaring above the national average growth of 9.36%. From a humble export value of Rs. 57,258 Crores in 2013-14 to a phenomenal growth of Rs. 57,706 Crores in just the fiscal year 2022-23, Telangana's IT sector has embarked on a remarkable journey of success and achievement

At the time of the state’s formation in 2014, Andhra Pradesh’s total IT employment stood at 3,23,396. This was 9.83 per cent of India’s total IT employment, which stood at 32,90,000 then.

Over the next nine years, from 2014 to 2023, the country recorded a net addition of 21,10,000 new IT jobs and Telangana created 5,82,319 new IT jobs.

Thus Telangana’s share of IT employment in the country over the last decade stands at 27.6 per cent.

The overall share of Telangana in India’s IT sector employment rose from 9.83 per cent (during erstwhile AP) in 2014 to 16.77 per cent in 2023.

In 2022-23, Telangana’s share in the country’s new IT jobs is a staggering 44 per cent, or 1,27,594 out of the 2,90,000 jobs. In 2021-22 Telangana’s share was an impressive 33 per cent.

This is a remarkable achievement, every 1 out of 2 new IT jobs created in the country in 2022-23 is from Telangana.

I guess with 27.6%, we stand second to Karnataka in overall IT employment.

That’s a good number kada. 44% of all IT jobs ante very high number. Impressive..

I see Telangana has highly urbanized state in India. No other state except Delhi will be as much as urbanized as Telangana.

RRR vaste Delhi ni kuda dati potadi with this kind of growth rate, manaki okka few dry ports and better access to Andhra ports (green field highways develop chestunnaru which will decreases 2 hours distance to vizag and Godavari dists)
