I kinda agree with this.. Indians are a major revenue source for Maldives and we have been providing security and aid to that country from several decades… 

there is no reason to abuse a prime minister of a country if he visits a nearby island that belongs to his own country.. this is totally provocative from those ministers against a head of a friendly country.. 

why would anyone spend a penny in a country that don’t respect us?

my reaction is not criticism on PM...its criticism on people who overreact with boycott call...

last time we saw...boycott china products...movement also...and after that...how the same people is using china products...

It is not just the ministers.. the current govt came to power based on the agenda that they want to reduce India’s influence on their country.. India helped Maldives with billions of dollars, built infrastructure, provided medicines/vaccines etc.. “India Out” is their main campaign slogan.

We are too much dependent on China and it’s products.. US too… no country in the world can live without Chinese products.. 

ee online campaigns for boycott will have only temporary impact.. janalaki emotions ekkuva sepu undavu 😄

Celebrities will just comment on them and support them for their publicity.. 😁

these issues will be resolved diplomatically.. the current govt in Maldives is not friendly with the Indian govt as they came to power with the agenda of pushing out Indian influence from their country..

Indian armed forces were stationed in Mali at the request of their government...and more over combat ready forces emi kavu deploy chesindi, naval station development and training kosam deploy chesina force to help them....tsunami tarvata they reached out to India for maritime help and Indian defense forces are providing them with support...

Of course, that's what I said. 

But, Maldivies ki oka strong message kuda povali that such things won't be tolerated....such protests and boycotts will hurt maldives in a short time...1-2 months hotel reservations and business will be on the downside and it will hurt their economy.
