But I agree, stats like these should be out there. So that people who are against reservation shut their mouths.

I can only think of making an educated guess, based on income levels of parents of the students who go there.

I know of a dalit boy, whose father was a daily laborer at ashok leyland, who used to work in IIT as a professor, and has now founded a photonics company in San Jose.

 

He never admits that he's a dalit. He's not ashamed, just doesn't want the complication.

 

is that what you want every dalit to be? ultra genius even to be as successful as a mediocre upper caste guy? because every dumb upper caste guy I know is running some stupid startup these days.
