Not all hiring managers are the same..a few of them may hire people coming for less and compromise on quality. Mediocrity is not tolerated everywhere ani realize avvali uncle..

Yes I am not saying this is the case everywhere. But this has drastically changed the dynamics of the work place in IT and a thorn in the flesh of all H1B workers working in IT in the US.

@bold, since when the clilents has become this generous? perform cheyyakapothe thisi avathala pada dobbutharu...unless h1 uncles want to give life to h4ead aunties @3$%

They have a reason now. They don't want to be under the scanner of USCIS/DOL for hiring more people on work visas and replacing the existing work force. Remember how the Disney incident backfired and went to the notice of President elect Trump.

But when they hire an H4 EAD they don't have to be worried about this because they can always say we aren't hiring people on a work visa as much as we are hiring those that aren't. So there's an incentive to put up with a cheap, under performing H4 EAD now.

As an H1B whos' at their mercy for your job and visa status, you would take up that slack anyway. Managers are aware of this now more than ever before.

Halwa uncle is now an economist..he is least bothered about this curry kampu

Good for him to choose a career that's not going to affect his life by all this sheeyat. But at the end of the day he's still on H1B so he's got to face the music too in one way or the other.

Most people aren't hiring OPTs truth be said, the reason is simple. Any OPT candidate would even if not right now require a sponsorship in the future for the most part.

Whereas most H4 EADs wouldn't need a sponsorship in the future. So that's a great reason to prefer an H4 EAD over an OPT or an H1B outright.

If a position is strictly a 6 months contract(doesn't matter even if you are a citizen) there is no scope of hiring for that particular position  how the client manager process goes. and at the end of day whom he will select (as per you H4  EAD or OPT) ??

If we can realize that we need to constantly upgrade ourselves to be in demand..none of these dynamics matter

try not to be important..but try to be indispensable

@tennisluvr -- arn't 99% of H4 EADs confined to locations like NJ, NY , Dallas and bay area ? .... they wouldn't usually be willing to relocate because location constraint is the main reason behind accepting jobs for meager amount of money , then Why is that billing rates have come down all over the US ? .... i think OPTs who are graduating from 3rd rate colleges also have a got lot to do with this ...

This is just the beginning man...just the beginning.

Truly, the head hunters don't need to search for talent anymore, they need to search for H4 EAD's only. Doesn't matter about the skillset as we all know how well we play with the skillset.
