Not true..Half of my uncles are Dr's and they went to Middle east in early 80's. Ma colony lo appudu intiki oka doctor unnadu like intiki oka engineer now.

west indies and middle east ki exams undevi kadu so lot of ppl used to go , in those days india had capital controls like you cannot transfer more than 200 dollars etc and also india was a soviet bloc country . So docs used to go to either middle east or gulf make $$$ and pay usmle fees or plab fees and migrate to US/UK from there
