there is a big difference in getting stuck with $1500 mortgage payment per month vs $4000 . End of the day its your call, buy a house or burn your money its up to you.

Bay Area  and some other cities like seattle market is overcrowded by Chinese buyers. will be interesting to see what happens when they stop buying for some reasons.

Agreed single bed in Berkeley is 3800$ Of course it's a very decent apartment .

I saw people buying out house as far as 60 miles out of SF downtown.

akkada aithe single family house osthundi with 550-600k and if you can get a wfh job or atleast few days wfh you can manage
