The delusion exists, and its hard to overthrow it.

Even rising kammas couldn't do upstage brahmins. If tomorrow another caste finds riches, they won't be able to challenge brahminism. They'll even adopt it, and derive status from proximity to brahmins.

It'll take a long time to overcome it.

my point was never to point out one single caste here... asalu brahmins wasnt even a topic until aakthai was sitting on his deluded high horse... let me end it here about them

that is a selective reading of scriptures.

aakathai can also pull another reading which says that brahmins are top dogs, and to be born as one is the greatest achievement or some such thing.

Then the debate moves to which scriptures are best and reliable.

We have a lot of inbuilt biases, depending on our modern upbringing, and don't really understand what our religion is.

To me, only brahmins (even though you don't like to bring in that caste, but it is impossible not to) can only realise and give up their special status one day. They can reform hinduism. until that happens, its very hard to change people's mind.

ok.. but still no answer... one more time... nuvvu cheppina scriptures anniti prakaram... Brahmin needs to realise Brahman, Higher Consciousness, did you ever do that? How are you a Brahmin without that?

Are you a brahmin in progress? ala pilavaala ninnu because you were born in a family but havent realised Brahman? What about someone who was born to "sudhra" parents and have realised Brahman? Is he a Brahmin or not, because he wasnt born in  a family like yours?

so paina example lo are you saying being born to  a particular set of parents is more important to become a "bramin" than realising  Braham itself? Please enlighten

ok dont get carried away... what you said about selective reading is valid for all religions.. not just ours... its more about human ego to prove themselves as "higher" and right than anything else which make them do this selective referencing...

yes. that's why all religions are similar in many ways, even though Hinduism is probably a lot more decentralised than most.

its good... I like it more because its decentralised... in a way its terrific  as its open...... but also very susceptible to outside things which is why it looks submissive
