Michael Hussey appointed CSK batting coach

Michael Hussey is Chennai Super Kings' third highest run-getter of all time.

Former Australian cricketer Michael Hussey has been appointed as the batting coach of Chennai Super Kings for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The southpaw was an integral part of the CSK unit from 2008 to 2013, during which they won the title twice. He was picked by Mumbai Indians in the 2014 auction, but was again bought back by CSK in the following season.

With 1768 runs for CSK, Hussey is the third-highest run-getter for the side after Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni. Chennai Super Kings, who have returned to the IPL after a two-year suspension, have drafted Hussey back in to the side in the coaching role. "I am really excited about returning to the Chennai Super Kings in a coaching capacity and working with the players to help them get the best out of themselves and also help to bring success to this great franchise," Hussey said.

"I have so many great memories as a player and have made many wonderful friends in Chennai and now I am excited about giving back to the franchise in trying to help the next generation of CSK players. It is exciting to have CSK back in the competition and I am sure the fans are very happy to have their team back on the field."

He will play an important role for the side as they go into the auctions to form a team again, with three of their integral members - Dhoni, Raina and Ravindra Jadeja - retained.

Say if a player is bid for 5 Cr by a franchise other than the previous owner, before the bid is said sold/finalized they will ask the previous owner if they want to use RTM if they say yes they can pay 5 Cr & retain the player.

Ippudu more clear example Dhawan ki highest bidding 5 cr vachindanuko from say Delhi (DD) before its finalized to sell the player to DD the auctionier will ask if SRH want to use RTM(Right  to Match) if they say yes Dhawan will be retained by SRH for 5 Cr or else if they say no DD gets Dhawan.
