Shoplifting case on Friend -- Please advice

His attorney just saying your case was dismissed yiu are fine but not sure how it still show up in BG. Also not sure if his BG failed because of that or anything else. 

 

He is good guy but I agree he did a mistake with lack of conscious. Please help him with your suggestions.

BG checks are quite extensive now, its better to get the record removed rather than finding workarounds.. things will only deteriorate..the record from one BG agencies can get into many other tracking companies if kept unchecked

once approved, the courts sends a request to all agencies and parties to remove records from their database

exactly.. there is no way one can survive in this country without fixing their underlying character issues

shop lifting or domestic violence appear to be small based on your past in india, not here

the system is designed to catch a person by 1st or 2nd instance, conviction rates are the highest in the world, this means the system assumes one has commited crime if caught, the onus is on the person to prove he hasn't done crime, india lo entirely different

once approved for expunction, it takes 60-90 days for deleting their records from DMV (primary source of civil/criminal data)

next time the agencies import data from DMV, they wont find your friends record, hence they have to delete on their end too

overall i would say 4-5 months is when your friend will not have any issues with BG checks
