Pichekkistha
It all comes to Glycemic index. The less glycemic index the better. Eating more quantity doesn't do any good even if its quinoa Eat what you like and limit the quantity. Whole wheat chapathi with veggies and protien should be good enough. Not necessarily, did you know even foods with lower glycemic index spike up your insulin. Insulin sensitivity index is totally different from glycemic index. Most whole wheat stuff is gut damaging, unless perhaps it's made with Einkorn flour or Ezekiel bread. Most modern day "whole" wheat is just the dwarf grain. tennisluvr
Quinoa is anyday better to the modern dwarf variety Wheat flour(which is 99% of the wheat you consume these days). However Quinoa is expensive so perhaps alternate Quinoa with white rice.

Chapati is as bad as rice if not better and should be consumed in moderation , it is a high glycemic food, meaning your body will generate high insulin to relguate blood sugar. Check glcemic index of foods. Chapati or rice should be consumed in modartion either 2 chapatia or a cup/scoop of rice quinoa is low glcemic compared to wheat and rice and it is gluten free unlike wheat. Quinoa is also very rich in protein and sometimes could cause constipation hence you cannot have it daily like rice. Calories wise both may be same. coming to taste chapati wins hand down.
