No dates are very good for health, in moderate quantities. Same with Banana, however what you are talking about is Fructose that's artificially processed, like HFCS. Not the naturally occurring fructose that's found in fruits.

I hardly eat Dosa, weekly 4 days idly mostly, 1 day upma , 1 day masala oats as breakfast 
1 day proper english breakfast (hashbrowns, Fried eggs, toast)

Chapati tinu quinoa, rice (brown/white) kuda tinu in rotational basis, but oka measured quantity lo tinu anthe... Nenu oka measured garite untadi daanitoh okati full ga vesukunta either rice or quinoa and eat them with kuralu..

Chapatilu oka 2-3 anthe.. Migatha time aakali veste dry fruits or fruits laantivi tinu.
