What is this preregistration?

unlike what we do now, all employers need to register with USCIS first...then apply for number of visas they want. no need to send any packets for that...

then, lottery will be held and each employer gets to know how many h1b's are alloted to them and only after that, one needs to send the paper work.

what exactly is preregistration?

USCIS valla system lo preregister avvali any employer who wants to file a H1. He has to enter the candidate's qualification details. USCIS will pick the H1s based on Merit(advanced degree preferred) and salary rather than doing random lottery.  Advanced degree holders will be preferred kabatti most of the quota will be eaten away by MS candidates. Foreign bachelors degree will be the last preference. Salary will be adjusted based on the cost of living of the area. Like 160 ki in bay area will be treated as 100k in Dallas or Atlanta. So they will have tables to adjust the salary to a common number based on COL tables.

Idi Trump eppati nuncho push chestunnadu merit based rather than random lottery ani. I don't think it will apply to extensions. Once you get a H1 there is no need for a lotttery. how to conduct the lottery anedi it is in USCIS' hands so they can follow any procedure they want..

From what I heard preference category will be based on educational qualification and salary. Salary will be adjusted based on the cost of living of the area. Like 160 ki in bay area will be treated as 100k in Dallas or Atlanta. So they will have tables to adjust the salary to a common number based on COL tables.
