CBN was instrumental in capturing the IT and service sector growth during the late 90's and there is no doubt about it...But that doesn't mean he has a magic wand with him. It was the time and infact, right time and right place.

It was the policy of the early 1980's that paved the way for Bangalore and Hyderabad to become hubs for such activities.

Before that, it was Mumbai and Pune enjoyed this clout in the 60's and 70's. 

There are some people who go with a blind following that CBN initiated IT growth in Hyderabad, but the reality was that IT was already thriving and CBN provided thrust for the same.

Yes you are right in that the policy was in place and it was all about government's taking initiative. SM Krishna showed how it should be done and as always our Nakka sensing an opportunity implemented same in HYD.
