change the title..

its not 401K ...its SSN money...

401K ni Govt touch cheyadu..its in the hands of Financial Institute...unless u have done some tax fraud on IRS.

401k nuvvu save chesedi.. fin inst will invest and get returns for you.

whereas SSN money is u save for future withdrawal..and employer contributes to ur SSN 7% something upto 110K salary. (dont know the exact figure) ...idi Govt control chestadi...

we might run out of that money... reasons..

people are living longer, and drawing out more at rapid pace...immigrants and IT field lo pani chesi contribute chestunna money ni mingi dobbutunnar ..

if ur going to India for good and give in writing that u will never come back to US..

u can withdraw whole SSN money...but catch is u need to have 40 credits.

a 40 credits ravali ante u need to work for atleast 10 years with salary required to get credits..

you are right about the 40 credits. However, there is no such rule like you need to have 100k or more salary.
