Yes this happens ..... I have 2 cases where their children have mental disabilities ..... again the next kid they had no issues .......
one more case no issue .........

Basically it is the DNA issues ..... that is the reason why a brother and sister do not get married in any place (scientifically).....

next closest would be cousins

Genetic tests don't tell much, as results have to do with phenotype (expression of genes).

I know a case involving menarikam or some close relationship. I don't know the exact details. The girl got married to a close relative (menarikam). They have a daughter, who is handicapped, who can't even move. Basically, people need to care for her like a baby. Recently, I met the husband of this girl. That's when my brain clicked: the girl's husband looks like the girl's dad. Some cousin marriage business.
