THe market is so small. These car companies already sell more than 20 times what Tesla sells. 

if they can't keep up with Tesla, some other new comer would.

TSLA is not just a car manufacturer.. solar roof.. batteries for house and other cars..

yeah. But nothing that is insurmountable for a startup in this area. ofcourse startiing a car company is not as easy as starting an app.

now.. most ppl prefer auto transmission and dont know how to drive manual.

same is gonna happen...not a lot of people want to drive. they think its a time waste and hassle. industry is catering to their needs or can say contributing to simplify human life

their vision is not just self driving but robo taxi in next 3-4 years, uber and lyft lanti service when you are not using the car.basically the car makes money for you.

if the car makes you money who would go for any other vechicle?

The market is too small for anyone to take it seriously as of now. Tesla is the most overrated company in recent history.

Electric cars are all the rage now, but before Tesla came along, electric cars were synonymous to Prius/hybrid cars. They are far from perfect but What they’ve achieved in the span of a decade is commendable.

why didn’t other automakers with fat coffers achieve Tesla’s level of success in the electric car sector even when they’ve been working on R&D for decades?
