I don't know who he is, but if he has a penis he is manly. Even if he doesn't have a penis, if he associates himself as being a man, he is manly.

Oh, sure you don't know him and never heard about him!

Standards of manliness or masculinity vary across different cultures and historical periods. Sociology 101

This was already stated by another member right in this thread and it seems like you are just copying/pasting it here. Pilli was not understanding it.

It's from wikipedia. I didn't read the whole thread. If they posted it AGAINST what pilli was trying to argue, that person got the statement totally wrong.

There is no standard definition for manliness. Which also means you cannnnnot impose your narrowly conditioned, tollywood based understanding of manliness

So in other words, if someone uses the same words against pilli, they are mistaken.

If you use the same words supporting pilli, you are correct?

Explain what difference it makes

No solid, uniform standard to define what's manly. Do not try to dictate about what WE find manly. That's the difference. Good night.

Is there a standard definition for cuteness? If there is, you should also be able to find a definition for manly. People tried to make him understand the difference between the two because he was saying, "All men are manly because they are men...blah"

Not sure what qualifies you to presume others as narrow minded. It goes to show how narrow minded you are and how little racial exposure you have!

Because if you say someone is not cute, it's not offensive. But if you say someone is not manly, it's offensive.

definition of attractiveness or desirability  changes depending on where you are from and how well you know the other cultures.. may be you have watched their tv shows/movies and and like these actors.. BtS singers look girly for many people in the US.. there are so many videos on YouTube.. there are many fans too..

We don’t know much about East Asian culture or movies/music/tv shows except for some action movies..  a person who does not have any facial hair is considered girly in Indian culture.. even mahesh babu was called girly initially.. so was tiger shroff..

So in other words, cute means endearing and manly means attractive?

It is like a cult - with just one user supporting pilli and upvoting each others' posts and dragging it into pages. When pilli insulted me saying I'm ugly for no reason, the other user supporting pilli did not say anything but questioning everything I was commenting. It goes to show how ugly and narrow-minded they are.
