The heroes in their movies are a bigger draw. Are you going to deny that fact? If the heroines are the bigger draw then people will stop paying heroes so much. Simple fact. Now the question is why is the audience the way it is? You can ponder over the reasons for it. You only get paid your value and that is the bottom line. You can live in denial and keep thinking that some people are deliberately doing it. It is counterproductive to think that way btw as it will not change the real causes for it. You can blame it on men and the people who are making money won’t care because they will do what is most beneficial to them - that is whatever the viewers/audience and the society/industry dictates.

Heroines might be @DummyVariable in most cases, but there are crowd pullers like Anushka Nayanthara Sai Pallavi who don't even make a tenth of their male counterparts. I don't see how heros who are dummy variable in a movie deserve to be paid in crores.

Tangible value = your work

Intangible value = your ability to bring in crowds + your connections that set the movie up + reputation risk -
 market risk

Your pay = tangible value in monetary terms + intangible value in monetary terms

Beyond all this, producers are also thinking in terms of risk and return. They have a minimum guarantee with a hero and a minimum guarantee with a heroine (again the minimums are because of their pull). Moreover, heroines have very less reputation risk and very high market risk. Their ability to bring in crowds is far less when you compare them to heroes. There can be many reasons why heroes bring in more people to the theaters - action/looks/fights/previous reputation/caste/religion etc. Some of these reasons are decided by audiences like yourself. Blame the @Meow in you.

Anyway, I gotta head out for dinner. See you later or tomorrow.

Varun Tej was paid 3 crore for Fidaa and Sai Pallavi was paid 20 lakhs for Fidaa.

Snake Chai is paid 8 crore for Love story and Sai Pallavi is paid 70 laks for Love story.

This is because Sai Pallavi didn't work as hard as Varun Tej or Snake Chai according to DB experts like @DummyVariable
