Tamil nadu is the most urbanised state in India and pretty uniformly industrialised . In comparison telugu states are just agricultural lands with industries only in Hyderabad , visakapatnam and sricity area .

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT81saXsQjvfwpJ-RxWmk4

Even ahmedabad and Pune and generating as much tax as Hyderabad from a long time  and those states are not based around on  those cities alone unlike Telangana.

Mana self dabba thappa Hyderabad was never a competition to Bengaluru after 1990 .

Same way , almost all other big cities have outgrown Hyderabad after 1990 barring Chennai which has stagnated a bit

ahmedabad -- obvious reason coz modi state all funds for development routed to ahmedabad ani reasoning istam

Pune-- close proximity to Mumbai, Real estate in Mumbai is expensive hence we set up shops in Pune so obviously Pune developed ani reasoning istam

chaala inka emanna kavala.

Tamilnadu taxes ento veyyi

andhra and tg kuda veyyi

because tamilnadu dint have any big cities

chennai is not revenue generating city for india anymore compared to Hyderabad

Inko 20 years lo surat , pune , ahmedabad will outgrow Hyderabad by some margin , jobs , infrastructure and migration are the drivers of economic rise of cities.

AP/TG focus is only on real estate prices and publicity . Poor people ki migration scope lekapothey inka aa city growth stagnate avuthundhi unless you can generate high tech jobs like bengaluru.

Oka rakam gaa Chennai kooda infrastructure , migration ledhu kabbati they stagnated even though they have a lot of jobs

2020 gst vasullalo Hyderabad crossed chennai because it is pharma based and chennai is blue color jobs based econamy

Hyderabad advantage us it and pharma both are giving 25 lakh jobs in Hyderabad

other than that nothing will improved in Hyderabad still people are moving to Hyderabad

Chennai, kolkata are bad examples to look upto to .

Let me say it again , pune , surat , ahmedabad will  have substantially more growth than Hyderabad 20 years in the future unless there is marked shift in Telangana governments focus on urban Infrastructure , housing and low cost jobs .

Even gurgaon , noida are expieriencing phenomenal growth but due to nature of the air pollution they will be slowed down.

Except bengaluru all of south india is falling behind maharastra, Gujarat , ncr and will continue to do so due to welfare focussed policies .

FYI surat has outgrown Hyderabad in almost every metric since 1990 , the only time surat fell slightly behind on growth parameters was 2005-08 .

It is a extremely well administered city , just because it lacks IT jobs does not mean it's backwards .if your entire argument is based on just IT jobs then you will be sorely dissapointed .

Those low wage jobs bring in lot more migrants and the urban infrastructure spending is almost as much as Hyderabad where welfare is the main focus .

surat have lot of potential and better administrative than hyderbad

they have airport 4 yrs back only but are growing rapidly but it wont be top cities as economy wise

I mean not absolute numbers but the growth % is phenomenal .

I have no doubt it will match Ahmedabad 20 years from now

annayya.. latest TN budget has receipts (estimated) of 2.2 lakh crores, and planned expenses of 3 lakh crores.

in contrast Guj has receipts (estimated) of 1.7 lakh crores, and planned expenses of 1.6 lakh crores.

do you think TN is giving more than 1.4lakh crores in welfare policies? TN is literally spending more than Guj on its development.

Absolute numbers mean Jackshit when they have much bigger population .

Look at the state of urban infrastructure , Chennai barely has water 3 hrs a day . While overall development is good compared to many states but they still don't have focus on urban infra
