"We were segregated based on our meat eating. The most brahminical culture I've seen was in my school, PSBB"

"when my father passed away, and I had to miss school to go to work and support my family, PSBB told my mother to beg with me on Kodambakkam roads"

Still this shameless school, invited him as chief guest after he became a pan Indian sensation in 96, for its annual day functions..

They tried to appropriate his achievement, and still called him by his prev name Dilip.

When his chance came to talk, he just said that he had a horrible time with the school, and has a lot of bad memories of the school.

then he excused himself in the middle of the function for a prayer... and the entire function was stopped for 5 mins for him.

haha.. fcuk PSBB like schools.

Hmm never heard bad things about his music school.

I mean segregation based on meat eating is pretty common in india whether you like it or not simply because most vegetarians would not eat in the same utensils as non veg ones . It's simply bad business.

Seems like he fully commercialised it

its not about his music school.

its about the school he studied in. PSBB kk nagar.

He was discriminated against for eating meat, and his mom was asked to beg in kodambakkam streets with him if they are unable to pay fees. His mom was a muslim. He was not, then. He dropped out of school.

Then when he became popular.. the headmistress of the school - a fcuking piece of casteist sh1t (but highly respected in Chennai, god knows why), still called him Dilip. and pretended like the school encouraged his talent. lol.

That idiot Suhasini Maniratnam had a program with him whre she tried to push him to agree that the school instilled good values in him, and how it helped him achieve success..

basically its the microcosm of the Chennai TamBram scene. There are other schools like it, like the one I studied in.

The only thing I never forgave my dad for was because he put me in that school, and never stood up for me, while I was abused at school. He was meek in front of them, even though he was many times richer than all of them.

basically the school is a cult.

I don't understand the jackasses that go around being proud of their school and defending it. ditto for college (including IIT).

how pathetic are the guys who still remember the good times at their school? do they remember the people they bullied too?

Ohhhhhh I thought you were talking about his music school ... Rahman family converted to Sufism when his father got sick. He comes to kasumur darga almost every year.

his entire family was muslim after conversion, before that they were hindu, his mother name was kasturi, when his sister was critically ill, he came across one sufi saint, found hope in it, later they converted to sufism, which is of course also islam, he converted to islam when he was at 23 yrs age, his entire family converted at that age, unless he was attending the school during 1989 the news is fake.  I have got an opportunity to meet him multiple times when he visited kadapa darga, he is so humble guy, don't pull him into these silly debates.

the debate is not about him being muslim.. bleh!

its about the casteist nature of his school. okay I was wrong that his mother was a practising muslim at that time when he was sacked from PSBB.

This is about PSBB. Its about what he himself has said in public space about the brahminist nature of PSBB school.

why they are adamant on not taking action against that faculty? seems like many people had to step in to force them.

It would be admitting that they were at fault for not taking action earlier.

all long the years, they had maintained that there's nothing wrong with that particular teacher.

they deserve to be kicked as well. actually they need a bigger punishment for defending a criminal with their bigger clout.

a bunch of 'alumni' fcuktards from this piece of sh1t school, wrote a joint letter praising that particular faculty as an amazing teacher with unconventional methods to teaching (like flirting with girls on whatsapp about the dress they wear).

ofcourse this alumni is nameless.. because if this sh1t blows up, no one wants to be identified as ones that signed on to that kind of bs letter.

yes, the school has huge clout.

It is founded by a woman, who's now dead, but is the grandaunt of Rajinikanth's wife. Their entire family is weird ass fcuk idiots, living purely off the reflected achievements of their school students.
