Dealing with my father

My father is highly educated and done very high position jobs. He looks down on everyone in our family. He tries to control everyone. He didn’t change a bit even after retiring 10 years ago. He never misses a opportunity to tell me how stupid for any small mistakes i do. I don’t know how to deal with him. Do anybody face same situation. I am getting frustrated.

fathers can easily be ignored. I stopped talking to my father when I was 15yrs old. don't even feel bad. you don't owe anything to him.

fathers need sons/daughters. Not the other way around. He will come around eventually.

Maa mother ni mari chulakanaga chustaaru. He lost lot of his friends after his retirement due to his attitude. Noone can win argument with him.

indian parents try to own their kids like no one else does - old age lo valla expectations sky high untaayi  - I would try to listen patiently and then ignore

Abandon cheyyamani evaru cheppaledhu.

panchaiti pettuko bro, oka 3-4 times...gattigane tagulko... tarvata valle set aitaru. sometimes you need to be tough, very irritating if someone tries to control you..
