u shud look at the percentage wise growth and all of them have 50-100% growth similar to southern states.

the issue is they are not at same level because, north bet started at lower progress and industrialisation/literacy compared to south.

that catch up avvali ante inko 20-25 years padtadi easy ga...enduku ante even investments come in to those BIMARU states,

youth from those states are flocking to south or western states for oppurtunities.

Antha scene ledhu. They started at much higher level. take indian railway network map.

The densest rail network is in UP/Bihar/Bengal gatra from british times. They take in a lot of funds from south indian states also.

in addition they occupy a huge chunk of central government jobs such as defense and civil services - all funded by south indian taxes.

intha chesi malla pethhanam south meedha.

india does not work for us.

@Spartan look at indian rail network map in 1909. Look at density of rail lines in Up and bihar. Note how much higher they are :

Literacy evvariki ledhu 1947 lo. they did not care ba ...they wont care. as long as they get easy funds from other places - they wont put in efforts.

Literacy will come if people put in efforts - it is not like railways or irrigation where somebody must put in money and material.
