Corruption ranking out of all 5 Southern states

Here is my opinion. Feel free to debate if you think my ranking is wrong.

  1. Karnataka. Richest politicians come from there. Greatest scope for corruption. North Karnataka in very poor condition.
  2. Andhra. Got worse after bifurcation. So many scams from Sandranna batch and Razanna batch. No idea how it will recover.
  3. Tamil Nadu. They had head start due to Madras Presidency capital.  But they wasted all their potential growth from Dravidian corruption.
  4. Telangana. Does okay job. Still corrupt govt but not affecting state growth.
  5. Kerala. Don’t have much info tbh. Less scope for corruption.

whichever state that has the most corruption is the state that has the highest growth.

dravidian corruption waste TN potential? lmao. what potential do you think TN has? or for that matter TG or KA too?

all are low productivity states, with high incidence of misallocation of resources (metro, airport, flyovers, and all that sh1t).. If they are growing today, it means that growth will slow down at some point in the near future, just like Chennai did.

do you think people will continue to be productive when land rates skyrocket, without instead settling down to be rent seeking landlords (parasites) and pull down growth? this is what happened in Chennai.. Dravidian corruption is just a footnote.

in the end everything finds its level brother. these rankings are pointless.

even the distinction of ka, tn, ap, tg, all are only for convenience, and mean next to nothing outside of govt's rent seeking.

just enjoy your life instead of worrying about this sh1t.

if you have to worry about something, pick something that is actually a problem.. Like the number of assholes driving a car in Hyd (sure you do too).. number of assholes parking them on the street..

do your bit for humanity by breaking the side mirrors of one of these cars.. make sure there's no cameras recording while you do it. good luck.

goes against the general notion that it has among the highest growth in India.

are you saying TG is paradise? lmao. hyperbolic ;)

everyone is trying to second guess on how to cash in on all this 'growth', before it dies out, and we end up either on the side of owners or tenants when it slows down.

this is the only activity that keeps people in India in high spirits now.. the notion that they've cracked the life code, and can now settle down permanently as rent seeking parasites on society.

stanning TG, TN, AP are just ways to get there.

use your brain, vekappa gaaru.. How can India or any state in India sustain the growth (whatever little we have) without increasing the number of people participating in the economy?

and to do it, either India must export like crazy (which it doesn't), or spend like crazy to lift its people up (literally whining about simple freebies itself).. Infrastructure based growth, which is what is happening now has a limit. and it'll reach that limit quite fast, when land gets expensive.

so tell me, what's the point of this conversation, other than to end up in front of the race to bag as many properties you can, that you can live off of when this peters down?

Dravidian party corruption has definitely screwed with Tamil Nadu economic outcome. Few years back, KIA planned factory in Tamil Nadu. They moved to Andhra because Tamil leaders were asking for bribe. Now they having same issue with Andra 😆
Let’s not forget all the power cuts and land grabbing under 2006 DMK govt.

Not saying there is no corruption but less corruption, some of the key difference from 2014 to now is digitization of records and elimination of man in the middle leechers , 100% of the welfare schemes are direct debit based on Aadhar and verified records. Only state in the country where land registrations and transactions are 100% digitized(viewable over internet from anywhere, digital trace avoids double registrations which used to be rampant with help from employees in registration offices)

if there is any corruption mostly at the high level but most of the low level corruption is contained. Even the traffic challans now require photograph from the cops and even those records and transactions are digitized.

buildings and industrial permits are based on self certifications and as long as you are playing by the book you need not pay anyone

Yeah.. its not an easy job to find land in TN now without using some muscle, and giving up political capital. All this doesn't come for free. who's going to pay for that?

all this big MNCs want everything in exchange for nothing.. like freeloaders in society.

land grabbing happened in couple of high growth areas.. and power cuts happened all over India. That is not the reason for Chennai falling behind.. mind you, it still has a fast growth, just not as fast as Hyd and Blr.

in the end all of these cities are worthless.. they have very poor infra and horrible living conditions. you wouldn't notice it if you don't step out of your community and your car.

If govt wants something in return from MNC, they should ask it in official professional manner. Instead, local leaders in the area were behaving like bazaar rowdies. Holding collar of managers and demanding personal bribe.
