Q1 . RAC lo VIP use chestaruga..when compared to physical IP rac lo VIP use valla fail over fast ga ayutundi. and When using VIP system doesn't wait until TCP/connection error .

So cluster lo every node ki physical ip and VIP ani 2 untayi which resolves to 2 different Ip addresses antega???

and any practical scenario/reasons for how fast failover occures in VIP when compared to physical ip??

mundey alternate datsources ad chesi unchukoni..

Admin console lo nundi failover antey , kotha DB ki target sesetollamu.

application ki VIP isthaam ba .. so failover ainapudu kuda it is transparent to them .. inka internal ga VIP ni ela configure chestharu to handle this failover scenario ante .. tns entry for the instance chuusthe niku ardham aipothundi

I think the answer is yes .. as far as I know, there can be multiple vip's but there will be only one Physical IP .. also, naku antha idea ledhu .., but as far as I know.. evvaru kuda including DBA's Physical IP's ni use cheyam anukunta .. we use VIP to access the instance or for that matter even the cluster

(Avi rendey naaku telisindhi , andhulo kuda)
Weblogic/apache/IIS aithey maatram ilagaa undavu DB lo,, as far as I know..

high availability goal aithe .. failover undaali kadha .. idhi db failover kadhu le reddy garu .. db okkate untundi .. kakapothe the way u access the db is via multiple hosts .. e multiple nodes (hosts) ni cluster antaaru .. so oka node fail aina .. u still have other nodes through which u can access db

naku application side aithe no idea bhayya.. kani as far as I saw .. JDBC thin client use chesi connect authuu untaaru db's ki .. i think that is via weblogic servers ..

inka db ki ela connect avvochu ante .. nuvu unna server meedha db TNS entry unte .. Oracle binaries install ayi unte aah server meedha .. using sqlplus u can connect ..
