HYDERABAD: After successfully getting the Hyderabad Metro Rail project chugging from Miyapur to Nagole last month, the state government is now mulling a Monorail project for the IT corridor, from Madhapur-Gachibowli belt up to the new IT parks proposed at Kokapet.

As of now, the 72-km Metro Rail covers only part of the IT corridor, up to Shilparamam near HiTec City as part of Corridor III. The government has also proposed to extend the Metro Rail from Shilparamam up to Raidurg in the near future."The state government is contemplating a Monorail project for the IT corridor. A feasibility study has already been taken up," Telangana municipal administration minister K Taraka Rama Rao said at a function on Monday.

Official sources said that since the main IT corridor around Madhapur has got saturated, many IT firms have set up their offices in Gachibowli, Financial district, Nanakramguda and surrounding areas. Apart from this, the state government is also developing IT parks at Kokapet and even Budwel to cater to the booming demand for office space by the IT sector.

Lakhs of techies commute to these IT hubs from various parts of the city and the Metro Rail alone is not enough to cater to these areas. Sources in the Telangana government said the government has mooted a Monorail project from Madhapur to Kokapet, covering a distance of 20 km via Gachibowli and Nanakramguda. If it works out, the government also wants to cover the area from Mehdipatnam to Gachibowli under the Monorail project in the future.

"Our plan is to decongest all the areas leading to the IT corridor. The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) has been asked to get a feasibility study done for Monorail," Telangana ITE&C department principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan told TOI.

KTR, who was speaking at the opening of CBRE's new office in the city, said that apart from decongesting the IT corridor, he has also asked investors to set up firms in the eastern part of the city such as Uppal as well as areas like Adibatla.

MGBS to Falaknuma inka works start avavledu..MIM vallu route change adigaru HMR is not ok with that...alignment chnage valla 7Km extra and 600 crores burden but now everyone are fine with old route

Phase 2 nadustundi man...end of 2018 lo start chesedii hi-tech city to rayadurgam route... extension of phase 2...aa route initial proposal lo ledu..

Already 2018 vachesindi inka enta just 2 yrs ante  @3$%

 

Keeping jokes aside  manam anukunnanta easy kaadu bro, plan chesaaka pillar lepestaaru and precast paina gridders avi set chesestaaru adi oka phase after that laying tracks and then testing of rolling stock, speed test & stress test, Brake testing chala tatamgam untadi... last ki RDSO/CRS (Commision for Railway safety) vachi antha certify cheyyali ok appudu gaani open cheyyaru pulblic ki..
