Karnataka...the whole of northern karnataka understands hindi with ease...only dakshin karnataka and tulu region is resistant to HIndi, whole of Tamil nadu ...and of course, pride telugu speakers spread in the region of andhra pradesh...

these are the three regions who are acting for reason set in the 1960's, usually for political gain.

Even KErela has no problem with it...infact urdu is a popular medium of communication in Kerela..

everyone in Maharastra and Gujarat speaks and understands Hindi...although they have Marathi,Gujrati and Konkan as native languages...deeniki sensus kadu, kastha practical exposure vunte telustadi le...

Go to Belgavi,Dharwad and Hubbali in KArnataka....kannada takuva, hindi and konkani ekuva matladutaru

avasaram aithe nerchukuntaru .. I was in karnataka for a year in my  childhood and I used to speak kannada 

Kannada in 30days book lo nerchukunna ... and this is like when I was 7yrs old

Kannada pride, if there was one it began 3-4 centuries back
